A Climate Fresk Marathon
Workshops, trainings, belt passing… and a good time! All day long on Saturday March 19th, many workshops and trainings were delivered to the public at Engage City, in our facilities in the 15th district of Paris. A beautiful and rejuvenating day.
The goal? To raise awareness about climate change... and help orange belts become green belts!
In the end, 45 participants, 52 new freskers, 5 orange belts became green, and 9 orange belts were observed and validated this step! All of this thanks to 9 workshops and 5 trainings. Moreover, 7 greens and 2 blues co-opted and supervised workshops. A great outcome!
Despite the sun, there were few no-shows… but many latecomers. Never mind, tables started filling up progressively.
Everyone gathered around the tables: all the belts, the participants, the freshly trained freskers… All together, all at the same time, and face-to-face: what a delight! The participants felt this dynamic. The community they were told about was no longer just words – it was a real thing!.
The participants were so involved in the discussions during the workshops, that some of them ran over by 30 minutes.
The Freskers crossed paths, supported each other, and had fun together! Co-opters and supervisors discussed together, relied on each other’s advice in order to stay as impartial and neutral as possible during the belt passages.
Cam and Maxime, two members of the permanent team, also took the opportunity to shoot mini videos of participants’ testimonies, after having made them sign a release form of course 😉 Aymeric also took some quality pictures for our communication tools.
The day ended with an aperitif between Freskers, some participants stayed, others came back just for the occasion : )
